We just got back from a short trip to Maui! Dave had a business conference, and decided to take me along for the ride. I think the pictures will do enough explaining -- I know you don't want a travelogue.

Okay, if any of you know us at all, you know that we're the most non-political people you'll ever meet. We definitely have our opinions of right and wrong, but we usually try to not offend people and not make waves. Lately, though, with the idea of starting our own family and raising kids on our minds, we know that we have to start speaking up. I don't want to turn our blog into a crazy platform for... whatever, but I thought this was really shocking. (Keep in mind that we haven't had TV since last August, so most of what we hear or see from TV is shocking.) This is just nuts.

I totally don't know if I'm allowed to do this, but I'm going to refer you to another friend's blog. She's got all the info, and has posted links to contact HBO and FCC.

Soooo...

You know how you know you need to do something, because you should do it, but you just never get around to it, and by the time you might possibly want to get around to it, it's been so long that you're overwhelmed by the idea of it, so you put it off even longer? That's how I feel about our blog. So, here's what I'll do... I'll just start from here, and do no backtracking...with the exception of some pictures. It's been an interesting last couple months, and most of you probably know what's going on anyway. If you want to know, call. You don't like it? Tough. :) We love you anyway.

Dave's Doings

On a date, we went into a wonderful store -- Price Busters -- and gave ourselves five minutes to find a gift for one another (under five dollars). This is the gift Dave got for me. If you can't read it, that pamphlet is titled 'Euchre for Dummies,' and it game with a deck of Euchre cards. (Only funny if you're from the midwest.)

Dave decided it would be fun to make a mess one night.
