I Hate Mosquitos!

I tell people that I hate mosquitos, and their reaction is always, "Well, yeah. Who doesn't?" But, no, you don't understand... I LOATHE mosquitos! For some reason, they think that Anna = Thanksgiving dinner. I'm the person in the group who'll come inside with several bites, when nobody else got a single one. And now, I have proof!

I took the dog outside for just a few minutes. When I came back inside, these looked like normal little bites. This was after about 15 minutes or so, and they're still growing. (I just took her outside again, and got four more bites. That's seven bites in about 5 minutes of being outside.)

This, on the other hand, is funny. My dad asked if Vixen was one of those dogs that kept to herself or followed me around... We've discovered that she's the latter. She stays right on our heels, room to room. If I move from the futon to a chair (about 3 feet apart), she'll get up and lie down right underneath me. And again, I have proof!

I had been working on organizing some bookshelves, and she would settle in the most uncomfortable areas and positions, just to stay close to me! She finally fell asleep like this, so I was able to move a couple feet away without her relocating.

Well, I know it's not that exciting to everyone else, but we were thrilled! She's a smart dog, and seems to be catching on very quickly... now if only that applied to house training...

Graduation

Graduation was good fun... lots of standing around. The best part was when the graduates were all entering the building for commencement ALL the professors, deans, and other important people clapped as we walked in. It was touching.

Vixen love's to be around us. FYI- our new puppy we got a week ago. She is a german shorthair pointer, and just a doll...exept for the potty training... going a little slow at the moment.

Our First Blog Post!

Well, ladies and gentlemen, here on popular demand is our very own blog! Since Dave actually went off to work for the day -- party pooper -- I won't say much. Suffice it to say that we are both excited to be starting our own blog and keeping everyone up-to-date. Have a good one!
